Environmental Philosophy: Principles and Prospects (Avebury Series in Philosophy) 1994

This 1994 collection of essays of Robin's environmental philosophy brings together over a dozen path-finding essays such as ‘The Good of Trees’ (from Journal of Value Inquiry, 1981), via an essay on different depths of environmental ethics, ‘ Sylvan, Fox, and Deep Ecology: A View from the Continental Shelf’, to an essay on environmental aesthetics. Several of these essays have been published nowhere else. The book’s alliterative sub-title, ‘Principles and Prospects’ later came to be borrowed as a sub-title for several books of others! The original publisher, Ashgate, was subsequently acquired by Routledge in 2015.
